Micah Parsons just wants to play football.

The highly esteemed Dallas Cowboys edge rusher went off on a referee who penalized him for roughing the passer after hitting Dolphins signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa in Miami’s 22-20 win.

Parsons had a step on the Dolphins’ offensive line as his team held a narrow 7-6 lead with about 20 seconds remaining in the first half, and nearly secured the sack on Tagovailoa.

The Miami quarterback had already slung a pass forward, and Parsons, 24, was a second late, obliterating Tagovailoa, 25.

He was flagged then for roughing the passer.

The two time Cowboys All-Pro also vehemently disagreed with the call as evidenced by his reaction, confronting the official — or at least attempting to before he was restrained and escorted away by fellow standout teammate DeMarcus Lawrence, who intervened and brought Parsons away from where the referee was standing.

Per the Dallas Morning News, Parsons has now not seen a holding call go against an offensive lineman against him for 38 straight quarters.

Perhaps that could lie with some of Parsons’ frustration.

The officials did, in a roundabout way, appear to make it up to the Cowboys, flagging the Dolphins for pass interference on a critical late fourth-quarter call.

That set up a Dak Prescott pass to Brandin Cooks to put Dallas ahead 20-19 with under four minutes left.

Miami, however, won in the final seconds on a Jason Sanders 29-yard field goal, sending the Dolphins back into the playoffs.

Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy said he knows his team needs to step up, especially now that they’re 10-5.

“We’ve got to play better than we did today,” coach Mike McCarthy said. “You have to play above it on the road, and road warriors we will be.”
