The Jets must cut their roster down to 53 players by 4 p.m. on Saturday.
General manager Joe Douglas does not have too many tough decisions to make, but there surely will be surprises.
The cuts began on Friday with Douglas informing center Jonotthan Harrison and linebacker James Burgess they will be released. Both players were starters last season for the team. Harrison started 10 games last year and 19 over the last three seasons, while Burgess started 10 games last season.
