After partnering up with Gatorade last week, the presumed No. 1 overall pick by the Jaguars in Thursday’s 2021 NFL Draft, quarterback Trevor Lawrence, inked a more out-of-the-box endorsement deal on Monday.

Lawrence announced a multi-year deal with Blockfolio, a popular cryptocurrency portfolio tracker. The investment app said they gave Lawrence a “significant” signing bonus on Friday that has already gained in value over the weekend.

The deal is the first of its kind.

“Excited to announce that I am part of the @blockfolio family,” Lawrence wrote on Instagram. “Can’t wait to see where this partnership takes us #Crypto.

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies rallied on Monday after a rough week prior. Bitcoin was up 8 percent Monday after falling below $50,000 value per coin for the first time since March last week.

With investments in Bitcoin, the most well-known investment, as well as Ethereum and Solana, Lawrence can make future deposits into the account with any combination of regular dollars and cryptocurrency that he wants.
