Antonio Brown is quickly making rivals — even outside of Pittsburgh.
Shortly after the new Raiders wide receiver blamed his former teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster for fumbling away the Steelers’ playoff chances last season, others around the league took notice.
“I respect his game but I can’t wait to smash this dude,” Texans safety Justin Reid tweeted Sunday, quoting Brown’s tweet. “No need for that.”
“No need for that,” veteran Rams safety Eric Weddle replied. “Showing true colors right here. No respect for this dude.”
Brown forced his way off the Steelers this offseason through a trade to the Raiders and has had no problem bashing his former teammates on the way out.
The Pro Bowler added Smith-Schuster to that list Sunday, when a fan tweeted him a picture naming Smith-Schuster the Steelers’ 2018 Most Valuable Player. Brown was quick to bring up Smith-Schuster’s last-minute fumble in Week 16 against the Saints, which led to a loss that helped cost them a postseason berth.
“Emotion: boy fumbled the whole post season in the biggest game of year,” Brown wrote on Twitter. “Everyone went blind to busy making guys famous not enough reality these days!”
