The wife of Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes unleashed a firestorm headed the NFL’s way Monday night, tweeting an obscenity-laced diatribe against the league first for stiffing her husband, then for more serious allegations of inherent greed, a flagrant disregard for head injuries and women-hating.
Miko Grimes opened her tirade with a seeming miscommunication: Her husband asked for permission to miss a Pro Bowl practice to attend to her, fresh off “emergency oral surgery.” While Cowboys coach Jason Garrett acquiesced, the NFL likely wasn’t notified.
Since he was absent, the league yanked a scheduled paid appearance for the 31-year-old defensive back, and his wife used that final straw to stir up a league still reeling from the Deflategate scandal.
