Full squad workouts begin June 7 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rob Gronkowski won’t be there, according to Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud.
However, the Buccaneers are “optimistic” that the 33-year-old Gronkowski will re-sign with the team and run it back again with Tom Brady.
Brady and Gronk recently spent some time together at the Yankees’ training facility in Tampa. Stroud did say that it is likely that Brady and Gronk did more than just play some baseball together.
This report comes just two weeks after Gronkowski and Leonard Fournette had an intriguing exchange on social media.
“Happy birthday @gronk I’m waiting on you,” Fournette wrote last month.
Gronkowski later responded: “I’ll represent a 7 jersey in the stands for ya.”
