As the Jets and Bills kicked off the NFL’s “Color Rush” experiment Thursday night, many fans were left seeing red.

Both teams wore monochrome uniforms for Rex Ryan’s return to MetLife Stadium. The Jets’ all-green and Buffalo’s all-red duds was a visual nightmare for TV viewers afflicted by red-green color blindness.

“If you are colorblind like me this NFL game is going to be hard to follow,” former Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes wrote on Twitter.

An NFL spokesman did not respond to emails seeking comment on whether the league took color-blindness into account when planning the promotion.

A recent estimate by the National Eye Institute is that 10 million Americans — the vast majority of them men — suffer from color blindness.

1 in 12 men are colorblind in some way. Mine is greens and reds. Ha perfect storm watching this game tonight. 🤓🤓🤓🤓

#BUFvsNYJ thx nfl for allowing both teams to wear all colored uniforms. Being colorblind makes it impossible to tell teams apart, turning off

Whoah. BUF vs NYJ on TV, but to the severely colorblind their uniforms are almost identical!

Hey @NFL, this game is near impossible to watch for people who are red/green color blind. #ColorRush

I don't hate the #ColorRush, but all this red/green is driving me nuts. I hate being colorblind.

As a person with red-green color blindness, this @buffalobills@NewYorkJetsPro game is frustrating to watch. #NFL#colorblind

.@nflcommish There are 21.2 million colorblind people in the U.S. and you roll red and green jerseys out. #blasphemy#turnedthechannel
