A shouting match between Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis and Dolphins safety Travis Daniels nearly escalated into a brawl inside the Giants Stadium tunnel as the two teams exited the field following the Jets’ win over the Dolphins yesterday.

Things got so heated as the two jawed at each other that Ellis had to be restrained by a Jets’ support staffer as the two players approached the Jets’ locker room.

“Don’t do it, don’t do it,” the team assistant pleaded with Ellis as he tried to harness Ellis and steer him into the locker room and away from Daniels.

“He was just talking trash,” Ellis told The Post.

“He was talking trash all game, particularly on the onsides kicks (on the final plays of the game). He wouldn’t shut up and then he came after me in the tunnel and kept talking trash.”
