Ticket prices for Super Bowl 2022 reportedly averaged over $6,000, so naturally, two fans flushed that down the drain for a chance to run on the field.

One of those fans caused a brief delay in the game during the third quarter at SoFi Stadium, racing onto the field and finding plenty of room to run — even getting close to the Rams’ huddle — before he was finally taken down by security. The man, who was eventually led off the field by three security guards, appeared to be carrying some kind of banner, though it was not clear what it said.

Before he was taken down, the man ran nearly the length of the field and at one point had a Rams player chase at him to get him away from the rest of the players.

It was the second fan that had to be marched off the field by security on Sunday, as photographs captured another man being taken away earlier in the day.

Neither stuck around long enough to see a closely contested game that became a nail-biter in the fourth quarter.
