There won’t be any limitations when Giants and Jets fans return to MetLife Stadium for the 2021 NFL season, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy announced Monday as coronavirus cases in the state continue to drop.
After playing last season without fans, Jets and Giants’ home games will return to full capacity and the state won’t require masks or social-distancing.
The first game with fans back in the stands will be a preseason contest between the Jets and Giants some time in August.
“MetLife Stadium, the New York Jets and the New York Giants are very excited with Governor Murphy’s announcement today that will allow events to return at full capacity as of May 28,” MetLife Stadium officials said in a statement. “We extend our gratitude and appreciation to Governor Murphy and his staff for their leadership and guidance throughout the pandemic.
