The Giants wanted to bring in a receiver and kick returner to compete for a job in training camp after Domenik Hixon was lost for the season with torn knee ligaments, so they claimed Chris Davis off waivers from the Bengals.

Davis, though, was waived Monday by the Giants after he failed his physical.

Davis while with the Titans missed the entire 2009 season because of a hamstring injury.
