The Jets have some interest in a reunion with running back/kick returner Leon Washington.

The former Jet visited the team yesterday, a source confirmed. Washington played for the Jets from 2006-09 before being traded to the Seahawks on draft day in 2010.

The Seahawks released Washington in March and then the Patriots signed him. New England released him over the weekend, though.

The Jets have a need for a third-down running back while Mike Goodson is suspended. They could also use a kick returner after waiving Joe McKnight last week. The question is if the 31-year-old Washington still has the quickness and burst Jets fans remember.

Washington has eight career kickoff returns for touchdowns.
