The Jets signed a new kicker on Thursday, giving a one-year deal to Cairo Santos.

The Jets needed a kicker after Chandler Catanzaro signed with the Buccaneers this week as a free agent.

Santos kicked for the Chiefs from 2014 until they cut him last October. He then joined the Bears, but kicked in just two games before being placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. He went 4-for-5 on field goals last year.
