Jets left tackle Mekhi Becton on Thursday opted to have surgery on his injured right knee, and will miss anywhere from a month to eight weeks, according to an ESPN.
Becton, the team’s first-round pick a year ago, had a second opinion after he dislocated his knee cap and suffered MCL and cartilage damage in the knee in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers. He is planning to have the operation next Wednesday.
