The first tangible fallout from the Jets’ Aaron Rodgers acquisition has arrived.
They’re playing in the first NFL game on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
The NFL has announced the Jets will play host to the AFC East rival Dolphins at 3 p.m. on Nov. 24.
The Jets will play host to the Dolphins on Black Friday Adam Schefter/ESPNWith the rest of the NFL schedule set to be officially announced Thursday, this is the first of what is expected to be five (and possibly) six prime-time kickoffs for the Jets, who have become one of the league’s hottest commodities since they acquired Rodgers in a trade with the Packers.
The game will be televised by Amazon, which paid a reported $1 billion as part of the NFL’s media rights deal that begins this year.
Prime Video began broadcasting 15 Thursday night games last year.

“You have games on Thanksgiving, and then the Black Friday game is going to be a fantastic thing for Amazon that would probably, you know, sell 18 gazillion dollars worth of merchandise that day for people who are at home logging on,” Michaels said recently on the “The Michele Tafoya Podcast.”
Amazon was responsible for 17.2 percent of all Black Friday sales in 2021, the most sales of any company.

The full NFL schedule will be released Thursday night.
The Jets other opponents include additional home games against the Bills, Patriots, Chiefs, Chargers, Eagles, Commanders, Texans and Falcons; and road games against the Bills, Dolphins, Patriots, Broncos, Raiders, Cowboys, Giants and Browns.
