Taylor Lewan isn’t believing everything he’s hearing when it comes to Aaron Rodgers.
The “Bussin with the Boys” host said sources have told him that Rodgers, rehabbing from an Achilles tear suffered four plays into the 2023 season, is coming back before the year is over.
“I talked to somebody the other day and they said he’s coming back in December,” Lewan told the “Up and Adams” show Monday. “That’s what I heard.”
The former Titans star didn’t seem to be putting much stock in that plan.
“I think, going back to injuries, people saying Achilles injuries are six to nine months, I would assume he’s not going to play during the season,” Lewan told host Kay Adams.
Considering the degree of injury Rodgers sustained, Lewan doesn’t believe the NFL will see a full-throttle Rodgers until next season.
“If he comes out and plays that’s one thing,” Lewans said. “If he plays and he can stay healthy and can be the Aaron Rodgers we all know and love… that’s where we are literally throwing out the medical book on everything.”

Before the Jets-Giants game Sunday, Rodgers was on the field dropping back and throwing without a boot, only two months after sustaining the injury.
As for the Jets, now 4-3, Rodgers said that at his rapid recovery pace, if he were to come back this season he would want to step into a playoff atmosphere.
“It’s pretty obvious I’m well ahead of the normal protocols when it comes to rehab for this kind of thing … but, obviously. I’d like us to be alive and winning for that even to be in the conversation,” Rodgers said on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Oct. 3.
Rodgers was seen throwing a ball and putting weight on his foot only two months after surgery on Oct. 29, 2023. Corey Sipkin for the NY POSTLewan told Adams that if Rodgers is back out on the pitch this season it would be considered a medical miracle.
“What did you do, who did you talk to and that is now the spokesman for all medical stuff,” Lewan said.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh said he wouldn’t speculate Rodgers’ recovery timeline.

I’ve heard he’s absolutely dominating rehab and he really wants to get back this year.”
Saleh and Lewan both agree that the speedy recovery would be a new lesson for the medical books.
“Everyone’s in awe that he’s even walking. He’s a freakazoid,” Saleh said.
