Mike McCarthy is gone, but the Packers reportedly realize he was not the only problem.

According to a detailed Bleacher Report story, the Packers are already pushing for a smooth relationship between Aaron Rodgers and new coach Matt LaFleur.

The report states that when Packers CEO Mark Murphy called Rodgers to let him know the team had hired LaFleur, he warned the quarterback: “Don’t be the problem. Don’t be the problem.”

Rodgers was part of the problem with former head coach McCarthy, who was fired in December amid back-to-back losing seasons and a deeply dysfunctional relationship with his future Hall of Fame QB.

One source close to Murphy told the website that the team’s CEO is “tired of the diva stuff.”

There are already worries, though, that the Packers erred by not getting Rodgers’ input in hiring LaFleur, who had been the Titans’ offensive coordinator. It may have been intentional, however, as Rodgers prefers to surround himself with “yes-men.”
