The Wildcat returns for his 24th season in The Post. Including the 1997-2019 seasons in the Bettor’s Guide, Cat’s record in print stands at 636-537 (54.2 percent) against the spread.
GREEN BAY PACKERS (-3.5) over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Seeing Tom Brady in command of a postseason underdog is simply too much for many to resist — but this is not a raw power-rating exercise. If it were, the public would clean house consistently. Brady has been a postseason marvel, no doubt — but he’s gotten boosts from the Patriots’ position within a frequently noncompetitive AFC East. Brady could get a home playoff game, should the Bucs win this — but first things, first. Pack, for one unit.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-3) over Buffalo Bills
Given the marvels of modern medicine, we’re working on the optimistic presumption Patrick Mahomes will see sustained action this weekend. That said, we’d also expect to endorse Chad Henne as quarterback at the adjusted price, given Andy Reid’s superior air-game acumen. The preview of this when the Chiefs stuffed Buffalo in Orchard Park in October was a true bill. Chiefs (-3) pass the test through the air, for one unit.
Last Week: 1-1. Packers (W). Saints (L).
Season: 15-22-1.
