New season, new Robbie.

Carolina Panthers receiver Robbie Anderson, formerly Robby, said to reporters Friday he prefers his name spelled with an “ie” on the end since it looks “better on paper” with the two letters.

The former Jets receiver added he used to use “Robbie” when he was younger before changing it up to “Robby.” The wideout is now going back to his roots.

He also mentioned the change is similar to him switching his jersey from No. 11 to No. 3, something he did during the offseason.

Anderson, who will catch passes from newly acquired quarterback Baker Mayfield, also said he didn’t want the former Browns signal-caller on Carolina, but has since taken back the comment.

The former Temple product attained 519 yards last season, with a total of five touchdowns.
