Patrick Mahomes’ mom, Randi, was at Arrowhead Stadium when the Chiefs quarterback suffered a torn left ACL during Sunday’s 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the wake of the devastating diagnosis, Mahomes, 30, took to social media to thank those who had reached out in an emotional message — a post Randi re-shared with her followers, along with a heart and prayer hands emojis.

“Don’t know why this had to happen. And not going to lie it’s hurts,” Mahomes wrote. “But all we can do now is Trust in God and attack every single day over and over again.

“Thank you Chiefs kingdom for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers. I Will be back stronger than ever.”

Earlier Sunday, Randi shared photos in a private suite at the stadium with internet personality Ross Smith and Gangster Granny.

Mahomes suffered the injury during the Chiefs’ final drive.

His leg turned awkwardly as he was tackled by Chargers defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand, and he grabbed his left knee in pain.

The Chiefs’ training staff assisted Mahomes as he went back to the locker room with a towel draped over his head.

“Patrick and the club are currently exploring surgical options,” the team said in a statement.

He is expected to undergo surgery this week.

Mahomes, who had been dealing with a knee issue the past few weeks, was sacked five times by LA’s defense.

Sunday’s loss officially eliminated the Chiefs from playoff contention for the first time in Mahomes’ tenure in Kansas City.
