Tom Brady, who has said he wants to play until age 45, did not completely rule out retirement after the New England Patriots’ season-ending 20-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Saturday night’s AFC wild-card game in Foxborough, Mass.
New England’s legendary quarterback said it’s “pretty unlikely” that his career is over.
Brady, whose contract is up after this season, also was cryptic about whether he will play for the Patriots next season.
“Who knows what the future holds?” the 42-year-old Brady said.
Brady finished a pedestrian 20-of-37 for 209 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.
