Few people are as excited about the Kansas City Chiefs’ run to Super Bowl 2020 as Paul Rudd.
He is the celebrity superfan for the Chiefs as they head to the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years to face the San Francisco 49ers after defeating the Tennessee Titans Sunday, 35-24, in the AFC Championship Game — for which Rudd was one of the Chiefs’ spirit leaders.
Rudd and fellow celebrity Chiefs fan Eric Stonestreet got hyped before the game in a video shared on the Chiefs’ Twitter account.
The “Ant-Man” star, 50, was not even a year old when the Chiefs last appeared in the Super Bowl, when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. Rudd went to junior high and high school in Kansas, and like all of Chiefs Kingdom has been longing for a chance to root for his team in the big game.

Now he’ll get that chance thanks to Patrick Mahomes’ huge performance in which he had 294 yards and three touchdowns along with 53 rushing yards, which included a 27-yard rushing TD.
Rudd celebrated with the Chiefs on the field after the game, hugging tight end Travis Kelce — whose jersey Rudd was wearing — and was in their locker room afterward.
The celebrations called to mind a moment from the show “Hot Ones,” a now famous meme in which Rudd tells host Sean Evans, “Hey, look at us,” with a smile. Evans says, “Who woulda thought?” before Rudd says, “Not me!”
And it played out in real life as multiple reporters said Rudd repeated the meme.
Who woulda thought? The Chiefs are finally back in the Super Bowl, and Rudd will be along for the ride.
I found Paul Rudd in the Chiefs locker room and said “Hey! It’s me, the girl from the plane!” And he gives me a hug, glances around the room and says, “Hey, look at us. Who would’ve thought?” And I passed out pic.twitter.com/LSoqJ3HD8n
