As expected, the Jets will be without starting nose tackle Sione Po’uha for Sunday’s opener against the Bills.

Po’uha is one of the seven inactive players for the Jets. He missed almost all of training camp with back tightness. Po’uha had hoped to be ready for the opener but coach Rex Ryan seemed reluctant to play him this week after he missed so much practice.

Ryan said Friday he felt that Po’uha would be out but he was listed as questionable on the injury report. Kenrick Ellis will start at nose tackle in Po’uha’s place.

The other inactive players for the Jets are: QB Greg McElroy, WR Clyde Gates, S Eric Smith, DL Damon Harrison, G Caleb Schlauderaff and T Dennis Landolt.

Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson is active today. Johnson has been dealing with a groin injury.

The Bills inactive players are: QB Tavaris Jackson, WR T.J. Graham, S Delano Howell, DE Kyle Moore, LB Kirk Morrison, T Sam Young and C Colin Brown.
