The UFL has suspended Samson Nacua, the brother of star Rams receiver Puka Nacua, for one game after he was seen slapping a fan during a game over the weekend.

In social media footage of the incident, Samson, a 27-year-old wide receiver on the Michigan Panthers, appeared to spar with an opposing spectator Saturday during a 32-27 road loss to the St. Louis Battlehawks before jumping closer to the stands and smacking the fan in the face.

The suspension will be without pay, according to The Detroit News, which noted it’ll cost him roughly $6,200.

He will also participate in community service endeavors orchestrated by the league.

News of Samson’s one-game suspension comes after the UFL stated it was investigating the matter.

Panthers coach Mike Nolan said Tuesday Samson “knows that you don’t retaliate.”

“You want to have the full story on what happened,” Nolan said, according to The Detroit News. “We did it the wrong way in retaliating, and Samson knows that you don’t retaliate.”

Through five games this season, Samson has tallied seven receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown.

He is the middle brother between 30-year-old Kai Nacua, a safety on the Michigan Panthers, and Puka, the Rams’ 23-year-old standout.

The Panthers play next play the D.C. Defenders on Sunday.
