Gregg Williams has some company.

After the Jets fired their defensive coordinator for a game-costing blitz decision, the Raiders fired defensive coordinator Paul Guenther on Sunday following a 44-27 loss to the Colts. The loss leaves the Raiders a game behind the Dolphins for the final wild-card playoff spot in the AFC and a half-game behind the Ravens, who play the Browns on “Monday Night Football.”

The Raiders defense allowed 456 yards, four touchdowns and three field goals to the Colts to fall to 2-4 at their new home. Vegas is allowing 30.1 points per game, third-most in the NFL; only the Jets and Cowboys are allowing more points.

Las Vegas will have to adjust to interim defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli — the former Lions head coach who had been serving as the Raiders’ defensive line coach — during a quick turnaround before they host the Chargers on Thursday. The Raiders finish their schedule hosting the Dolphins and visiting the Broncos.

Guenther, 49, was hired by Jon Gruden in 2018 when Gruden left ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast booth to return to the sidelines for the first time since 2008 — and to return to the franchise he left after the 2001 season.
