Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson, who just recently signed a $57 million contract extension, was arrested for domestic violence on Monday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The 6-foot-7 Jackson was taken into custody after officers “responded to a radio call of a battery domestic investigation” near a residence in West Hills, an LAPD spokesperson told The California Post on Tuesday.
“During the investigation,” the LAPD rep said, “Alaric Jackson was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence.
Police say when they arrived they learned that Jackson and a woman had gotten into a verbal argument.
“Due to victim confidentiality requirements related to domestic violence cases, no further information can be released at this time.”

He was later released on $50,000 bond at 7:20 a.m., jail records show.
The case, according to the LAPD, will now “be submitted to the LA County District Attorney’s Office for filing considerations.”
“We are aware of the incident regarding Alaric Jackson, and we take these matters very seriously,” a spokesperson for the Rams said in a statement to The Post on Tuesday. “Due to this being an ongoing legal situation, we cannot comment further at this time.”
NBC4 was first to report the news of Jackson’s arrest.
Jackson was taken into custody after officers “responded to a radio call” near a residence in West Hills. Getty ImagesJackson joined the Rams in 2021 as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa, and he played sparingly in Los Angeles’ run to Super Bowl LVI.
In 2022, he made his first-ever starts for the team, and in 2023, he became a full-time starter.
In March 2025, the team signed him to a three-year, $57 million contract extension that reportedly included $37 million in guarantees.
Jackson went on to start 16 games for the Rams in ’25, and he played in all three of the team’s playoff matchups as well.
Jackson was previously accused of wrongdoing in November 2025, when a woman, identified in court documents as “Jane Doe,” sued him for allegedly recording her without her consent during sex and then lying about deleting the video.
Court records show the civil matter was dismissed in April after it was transferred to federal court.
Jackson previously served a 2-game suspension in 2024 due to a violation of the personal conduct policy. It’s still unclear if he’ll be suspended longer if Monday’s arrest is declared a second violation.
With the Rams staring down one of the NFL’s toughest schedules, any suspension for Jackson would be a major hit to the offensive line.
The possibility of Jackson missing time has already sparked questions about who could step in at left tackle if the NFL hands down discipline over his alleged actions.
Training camp position battles are still weeks away from being settled, but two names currently stand out as the leading candidates to fill the void: veteran David Quessenberry and rookie Keagen Trost.
