Vincent Trocheck’s excellent adventure skating between Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere has been recognized by the NHL with the announcement that the Blueshirts’ center will join teammate Igor Shesterkin for the All-Star extravaganza in Toronto Feb. 1-3.

The 30-year-old center, who has 44 points (15-29) in 46 games in spearheading the Rangers most electric and productive forward unit, was named to the event with Winnipeg’s Kyle Connor as injury replacements for Jack Eichel and Connor Bedard.

The rosters for the four teams that will compete in the three-on-three tournament will be determined in choose-up fashion by the captains.

This will represent Trocheck’s second appearance in an NHL All-Star Game, the Pittsburgh native having recorded four points (1-3) in the 2017 affair for the Atlantic Division as a member of the Panthers.

Panarin, who has 62 points (28-34), would have been a slam-dunk original selection, but the winger opted out by announcing he and his wife, Alisa, are expecting their second child during the event.

Trocheck, who is on pace to establish personal season-bests in assists and points, is third in the NHL in faceoff efficiency at 62.0 percent.
