The most appetizing of the three NFL games on the menu for Thanksgiving could be imperiled by COVID-19.
The Baltimore Ravens, who are slated to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night, announced Monday that they have closed their facility after “multiple members” of the organization tested positive for coronavirus.
“Late (Sunday) night, we were informed that multiple members of the Baltimore Ravens organization tested positive for COVID-19, and those individuals immediately began to self-quarantine,” the team said in a statement. “We have started the process of contact tracing and during this time, the Under Armour Performance Center will be closed, with all team activities conducted virtually.
“We will continue to work closely with and follow guidance from the NFL, team doctors and our medical trainers.”
Running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins are the two players known to have tested positive, according to NFL Network.
The Ravens, who lost on Sunday to the Tennessee Titans, haven’t revealed the total numbers of positives.
Thursday’s other scheduled games pit the Houston Texans against the Detroit Lions, and the Washington Football Team against the Dallas Cowboys. The latter will impact the NFC East race; both teams are a half-game behind first-place Philadelphia with records of 3-7.
