Pro Bowler Patrick Ricard had to make a defensive recovery on Wednesday night.
The Ravens’ fullback had his meal delivery from Outback Steakhouse “straight up” stolen by a hungry neighbor.
“Woooow, my neighbor straight up stole my DoorDash,” Ricard wrote on Twitter after the incident. “Have a pic of it sitting on his doormat. Knock on his door for a solid 10 mins. Finally comes out and we talk. Already had my dinner on a plate…”
Ricard, 26, is an undrafted free agent from the University of Maine. He joined the Ravens in 2017 and was named to his first Pro Bowl after the Ravens’ phenomenal 2019 season.
“Got back my app and desert back. No meal,” he wrote with three sobbing emojis in reply to teammate Mark Andrews, who chimed in on the thread.
DoorDash’s official Twitter account replied, “We’re calling a foul on your neighbor. DM us for a replacement dinner on the house,” with a GIF of an NFL referee waving with the caption, “Hold Up Flag On The Play.”
Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl fullback Patrick RicardGetty ImagesOutback Steakhouse also joined the conversation and added they would personally deliver Ricard’s next order.
“We’re so sorry your steaks were intercepted,” Outback’s official Twitter account wrote. “We’re calling an audible and delivering @PRic508’s next dinner.”
Ricard said he empathized with the situation, and added that he and the neighbor spoke and are on good terms now.
“I mean I get it, free food just comes to your door, why not?! At the end of the day, just please be a good person and don’t touch it. If it’s not yours, it’s not yours,” he wrote. “After talking it out, we are cool now. I have officially met my neighbor , so there’s that.”
Ricard tweeted that he would be ordering “round two” on Wednesday, which was hopefully not intercepted this time.
