NJ.com reports that Vernon Gholston has impressed new defensive coordinator MIke Pettine during these organized team activites.

“I think Vernon is having a real good offseason,” Pettine told reporter Dave Hutchinson Thursday following an organized team activity session at Florham Park. “You can tell this is important to him. He’s passionate about it. The signs are there.”

Gholston, selected sixth overall in last year’s NFL Draft, made 13 tackles last season and did not have a sack.
