According to NJ.com, the Jets have reached an agreement with veteran free-agent cornerback Donald Strickland on a three-year deal.

Strickland, who played the past three seasons with the 49ers, adds depth to the position for the Jets, who will likely start Darrelle Revis and Lito Sheppard at the position. But Strickland could compete for the team’s nickleback position, if Dwight Lowery continues to struggle in his second season in the NFL.

The Colts drafted Strickland in 2003 with the 90th pick and he also spent time with the Eagles. Strickland had two interceptions in his rookie season, but has not had one since.
