USC quarterback Mark Sanchez is scheduled to meet with the Jets tomorrow, according to a report on scout.com.

According to the report, Sanchez is meeting with the Jaguars today before hopping on a plane to come to New York. Sanchez will spend most of tomorrow working with Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. Sanchez is also scheduled to meet with the Redskins this week.

The Jets have the 17th pick in this year’s draft and is believed that they would have to trade up in order to have a shot at Sanchez, who is projected by most as the second quarterback in the draft behind Georgia’s Matthew Stafford.

The Jaguars will pick at No. 8, while the Redskins have the 13th selection.

If the Jets do not add a quarterback via the draft, trade or free agency, the team will have a quarterback competition between Kellen Clemens, Brett Ratliff and Erik Ainge for the starting job.
