Robby Anderson is just enjoying living out his dream.
The Panthers receiver shared that message on Twitter after he was trolled for celebrating a late-game first-down catch while Carolina was down 32-6 to the Buccaneers on Sunday with less than two minutes left.
“Dats a good ass route and catch,” Anderson replied to NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, who called the moment “silly” on Twitter.
The 28-year-old sixth-year wideout spun the ball on the Buccaneers’ sideline then pointed at the sky before he ran off.
In response to another Kleiman tweet, Anderson wrote, “Dats ppl like you problem always tryna find negative in situations. Ima count my blessings and live my dream and enjoy it to the fullest the best I know this dream don’t last forever.”
Anderson finished the game with five catches for 58 yards.
He continued to tweet positive affirmations, writing, “The Real always Prevail.”
In a separate tweet posted Monday morning, he wrote, “I’ll never count it as a loss if I learn the lesson from it. I refuse to accept and look at life from a ‘losing’ mentality.”
He added, “Set the Tone for 2022 ya dig.”
Robby Anderson celebrates during the second half of the Panthers’ loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. APThe elaborate celebration came just one week after Anderson proposed to his girlfriend, Sade, on Dec. 20. He popped the question on her 26th birthday with a ring that she said contains 26 diamonds.
Anderson has had a disappointing season for Carolina. He has 44 catches for 459 yards and four touchdowns after getting a two-year, $29.5 million contract extension in August. Anderson had 95 catches, 1,096 yards and three touchdowns in 2020, his first season in Carolina after four years with the Jets.
He and the Panthers (5-10) visit the Saints (7-7) in another NFC South matchup on Sunday.
