Jets coach Robert Saleh said there is no issue with wide receiver Elijah Moore, who took to Twitter on Sunday night to say he did not understand why he was not targeted in the win over the Packers.

Saleh said he and Moore spoke on Monday and the second-year receiver is “fine.”

“He’s a competitive young man,” Saleh said. “Like everybody, when you’re a competitor like him, he wants to contribute. Sometimes, we can think that our contributions are from production only, when your contributions can come from a variety of different things in terms of the way you show up to the building, the way you lead, the way you communicate with your teammates, the effort that you put on the field. There’s a million ways you can contribute to this football team. He’s a competitor and all he wants to do is contribute. So, I’ve got no problem with Elijah. He’s one of our high-character individuals. I love him to death. Eventually, the production part of it that he’s hoping for will come. He’s just continuing to work.”

Moore has not been as big a part of the offense as expected in his second season. He is fifth on the team with 29 targets and has 16 catches for 203 yards and no touchdowns.

Moore sent the tweet Sunday night in response to a media member’s tweet about him not being targeted. He said he was grateful the team was winning but then said he did not understand why he was not targeted.

“It’s social media,” Saleh said. “You’d love them all to be perfect. I’d love to be perfect. I’d love my family to be perfect. Learning lessons for everyone. I don’t think he has any bad intentions, I don’t think he has a bad bone in his body, but once you put it out there, it’s out there.”

The Jets can’t say enough about DT Quinnen Williams, who had a monster game on Sunday. Williams has five sacks this season and has been dominant.

“I told him before he was having a Pro Bowl season,” veteran DE Vinny Curry said. “I think after [Sunday] we all can agree that he’s having an All-Pro season. Let me tell you something, that dude he ain’t even scratched the surface of what he can become, man.

“I honestly think there’s potential there for him to be Defensive Player of the Year.”

The Jets signed OT Mike Remmers off of the practice squad to the active roster. His agent, Brett Tessler, said it is a one-year deal. The Jets released OT Conor McDermott to open the roster spot.
