What, did C.C. Brown get to vote more than once?

In this week’s Sports Illustrated, 239 NFL players were asked “Who is the most overrated player?” and Eli Manning made the cut again. He’s fifth on the list this year, with 4 percent of the responders saying he’s the most overrated player in the league.

The runaway winner was Terrell Owens of the Bengals, who came in at 14 percent. He was followed by Tony Romo (7 percent), Mark Sanchez (5 percent), Albert Haynesworth (5 percent) and Manning. The poll was conducted before the start of the season.

At least Manning is making progress. Last year, he was fourth out of five in SI’s list of most overrated, getting 7 percent of the vote. Brett Favre topped the 2009 list. Romo and Owens join Manning as repeat winners (losers?).

Brown, now with the Lions, was critical of his former teammate Manning leading up to and after this week’s game.
