Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Alex McGough is being investigated by police for allegedly slugging another bar patron in the face on St. Patrick’s Day, according to TMZ.

The 25-year-old McGough allegedly punched the man — identified as 24-year-old Anthony Albino — Wednesday at Green Parrot Pub in Tampa.

Albino told TMZ he was “reconnecting with an old friend at the bar” when McGough accused him of hitting on his girlfriend and suddenly punched him in the face.

Albino claimed he suffered “minor injuries” in the fracas, including a bloody nose and a cut on his elbow and filled out a police report the following day “with the intention of pressing charges,” TMZ reported. As of Friday night, no arrests were made nor charges filed.

McGough hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the Seahawks drafted him in the seventh round in 2018 out of Florida International.

He spent some time with the Jaguars and Texans the last two years before being resigned to the Seahawks’ practice squad in December.

McGough currently is listed as Seattle’s No. 2 quarterback behind star Russell Wilson, who has been the subject of trade rumors this offseason.
