The Seattle Seahawks eked out a 30-29 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the best Thursday Night football game this season. Both teams came into this NFC West showdown 3-1 and looking up at the undefeated 49ers in the division.

The game ultimately came down to a missed field goal attempt with 11 seconds remaining by Greg Zuerlein, but there were big offensive performances on both sides of the ball, including a strong case for MVP for Russell Wilson and a jaw-dropping catch by Tyler Lockett.

Here are seven things you need to know for fantasy football:

This is Wilson’s ninth year in the NFL, but you would not know it if you watched him play on Thursday night. The 30-year-old is now 8-1 on Thursday night and is off to the strongest start to his career, which has created MVP chatter. He overcame a formidable Rams pass rush led by defensive tackle Aaron Donald and completed 17 of 23 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns, with an additional 32 yards on the ground on eight attempts.

Wilson also completed one of the most improbable touchdown passes ever per NFL Next Gen Stats into an extremely tight window to Tyler Lockett to put the Seahawks on the board. He has yet to turn the ball over this season and his accuracy and consistency to date should put him in the conversation for MVP next to Patrick Mahomes.

Lockett made a highly improbable catch with the Seahawks trailing by six points in the first quarter. It is Lockett’s second touchdown this year and he converted his four targets into four catches for 51 yards.

This was a good evening for all Seattle pass catchers: receivers D.K. Metcalf and David Moore each made it into the end zone and tight end Will Dissly led the team in receiving. Metcalf, a 2019 second round pick from Ole Miss, caught two of three targets for 44 yards, and Moore caught one of two targets for ten yards. Dissly’s touchdown streak ended after four scores in three games, but he finished this one catching all four targets for 81 yards, furthering the argument that he should be a TE1 every week.

Carson was once again utilized heavily on the ground, ultimately scoring the winning touchdown for the Seahawks on a short pass from Wilson in the fourth quarter. He had a season high 27 rushes for 118 yards and that one crucial, bobbling catch for five yards. This is Carson’s second 100-yard game in a row coming after a mediocre start to the season, which should elevate him back to the RB1 tier each week.

A second consecutive two-touchdown game for Todd Gurley should placate fantasy owners, at least for now. Concerns have mounted that the running back has not looked the same after suffering a knee injury last year. He, too, saw a heavy workload and finished the game with 15 attempts for 51 yards and a pedestrian 3.4 yards per carry.

It is hard to believe that wide receiver Cooper Kupp suffered a torn ACL during Week 10 of last season. He told Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times that he is actually “faster than he was before his injury.”

Kupp has been the most productive Rams receiver this season, and nabbed the team’s only touchdown in the first half. He put up his fourth straight 100-yard game and caught nine of 17 targets. Kupp’s talent and stature have allowed him to emerge as the top target for Jared Goff with far and away the most targets, yards, and touchdowns on the season among Rams receivers. He does not show signs of slowing down and is a solid WR1 moving forward.

The Rams historically favor the three-wide receiver formation, but opted to call a few two-tight end sets, giving way for both Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee to have nice games. Higbee, who began the season as the Rams top tight end, caught all three of his targets for 47 yards. However, it was Everett who was targeted 11 times and led the team in receiving with seven catches for 136 yards. Everett’s targets have steadily increased while Higbee’s have waned through five weeks this season. Everett is a solid TE2 option and will be a popular waiver add in deeper leagues next week at only 6% owned on Yahoo.

Cooks caught one pass for 29 yards on three targets and had a rushing attempt for 27 yards. He exited the game in the fourth quarter and to be evaluated for a concussion. Those three targets paled in comparison to 17 for Kupp and nine for Woods. His dwindling target share warrants concern from fantasy owners as he slides into WR2 territory.
