Playing the Jets has been beneficial for plenty of teams this season. The Broncos snapped a three-game losing streak against them. The Cardinals and Bills snapped two-game losing skids against them. Monday night, the Patriots ended their losing streak at four with their comeback win.
But playing the Jets has also had its benefits for individual players. Patriots kicker Nick Folk became the sixth player this season to earn Player of the Week honors for the league for what he did against the Jets. That is a staggering number. There have only been nine weeks and in six of them a player has had one of the best performances of that week against the Jets.
It started with Week 3 when Colts cornerback Xavier Rhodes won AFC Defensive Player of the Week after intercepting Sam Darnold twice and returning one for a touchdown.
Broncos kicker Brandon McManus won AFC Special Teams Player of the Week the next week after kicking three field goals, one from 53 and one from 54, against the Jets.
Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray made it three straight weeks when he threw for a career-high 380 yards with a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown to get NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Patrick Mahomes took home AFC Offensive Player of the Week the following week after putting up 416 yards and five touchdowns on the Jets.
Folk made it three weeks in a row after he kicked three field goals, including the 51-yard game-winner as time expired to beat the Jets.
The Jets won’t be able to help anyone win hardware this week during their bye, but the Chargers players should start getting excited. The Jets come to town on Nov. 22. Justin Herbert or Joey Bosa are Player of the Week favorites that week.
