“Odell Beckham” and “sideline tantrum” have found their way into the same sentence again, except in an unfamiliar fashion.

Beckham, this time, was the one trying to calm Sterling Shepard down after his fellow Giants receiver was seen by Fox cameras punching a bench and tossing a garbage can after an Eli Manning interception at the end of the third quarter.

Shepard finished the game with four catches for 75 yards and was part of one of the offense’s most prolific performances over the past couple of seasons. The 31 points would not be enough though as the Panthers drove past midfield and Graham Gano kicked a 63-yard field goal on the final play for a heartbreaking 33-31 defeat.

The loss dropped the Giants to 1-4, and they are a team in turmoil following Beckham’s critical comments about Manning and the offense in an interview with ESPN.
