It seems Tom Brady just can’t quit the game.

Over the weekend, wife Gisele Bündchen shared a glowing selfie on Instagram, where she asked her 18.6 million followers: “Who is working this weekend? Let’s do this!”

Brady, who recently announced that he’s stepping away from football after 22 seasons, soon replied, “I wish I was!!” according to Comments By Athletes.

One year ago, Brady won his seventh Super Bowl title and his first as a Buccaneer. Fast-forward to January 2022, and Tampa Bay was bounced out of the playoffs in the divisional round by the Rams, who are facing the Bengals in Super Bowl 2022.

In the days leading up to his retirement announcement, Brady, 44, shared that he wanted to focus on his family, notably Bündchen, 41, whom he’s been married to since 2009.

“My wife is my biggest supporter,” Brady said on a recent installment of his SiriusXM “Let’s Go!” podcast.

“It pains her to see me get hit out there, and she deserves what she needs from me as a husband, and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad. I’m gonna spend some time with them and give them what they need, because they’ve really been giving me what I need the last six months — to do what I need to do and I said this a few years ago. It’s what relationships are all about. It’s not always about what I want. It’s about what we want as a family. And I’m gonna spend a lot of time with them and figure out in the future what’s next.”

Brady and Bündchen are parents to daughter Vivian, 9, and son Benjamin, 12. The quarterback is also a dad to 14-year-old son Jack, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.

Although the Buccaneers seem to be holding out hope for a potential Brady reunion, he appears to be savoring downtime with Bündchen as the two were recently photographed strolling on the beach in Costa Rica.
