Former Falcons defensive end Takk McKinley got his wish to be released from the Falcons – only to be waived again by the Bengals.

The former first-round pick caused a stir in early November when he went on a tweetstorm against his former team, revealing the Falcons’ unwillingness to trade him.

“These @AtlantaFalcons turned down a 2nd round draft pick when I requested to get traded last year,” he wrote. “The same @AtlantaFalcons turned down a 5th and 6th round draft pick from multiple teams when I requested to get traded this year.”

“I only have 17.5 career sacks,” he added, accompanied by three clown emojis.

McKinley got his wish when he was waived after the trade deadline, and the Bengals claimed him days later. But after participating in virtual meetings, the Bengals waived him again after he failed a physical.

The source of the failed physical was not known as of Tuesday, according to ESPN.
