Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens was hit by a car following an altercation with an unnamed male during a pickup basketball game in the Calabasas, Calif. area on Monday, police told TMZ.
Owens, 49, did not require medical attention, according to police, which said the man got into a car and drove it into Owens’ knee after the game.
Police took a report for assault with a deadly weapon and the investigation is ongoing.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told Fox that Owens’ competitor in the pickup game took off from the scene after driving into the former NFL star.
No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning, according to TMZ, and Owens had not yet publicly addressed the incident.
It came nearly one year after Owens made headlines for two separate incidents involving police in November 2022.
Owens got into a viral confrontation with a female neighbor in their Deerfield Beach gated community, which resulted in the woman being charged with a second-degree misdemeanor charge.
Prosecutors reportedly dropped the charges in February.
