Hi, haters, Tom Brady sees you.
The Patriots quarterback — expected to become a free agent next month for the first time in his 20-year career — posted a few clips from his workout with wife Gisele Bündchen, 39, on Instagram, all the while sharing a few messages with critics.
“Go ahead and bet against me,” Brady, 42, posted to one Instagram story, showing off his TB12 “Gratitude & Determination 20” apparel.
“And you think you’ve seen the best of me,” he continued, adding, “I’m grateful for you doubting me and I’m determined to prove you wrong … again.”
Tom Brady and wife Gisele BündchenInstagramBrady finished the 2019 season with 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He and the Patriots were eliminated by the Titans in the AFC wild-card round of the playoffs.
With the six-time Super Bowl champ rumored to net around $30 million per year in a quarterback-heavy market, New England is certainly on the clock given they have not yet engaged in contract talks with Brady, sources told ESPN last week. Both parties previously made their intentions known that they’d like to continue what has become a prosperous relationship.
“My hope and prayer is number one, he plays for the Patriots. Or number two, he retires,” owner Robert Kraft told NBC Sports’ Peter King in an interview.
Seeing that Plan B is no longer on the table, Patriots brass is going to have to work their magic to turn Kraft’s dream into a reality.
