DENVER — The short week has officially ended any chance of LaDainian Tomlinson suiting up for the Jets against the Broncos.

The running back sprained his left MCL in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots, and the team announced on Wednesday that he would not play Thursday. Slot receiver Jeremy Kerley is also dealing with a knee injury and will be out.

Joe McKnight will get many of the carries Tomlinson usually does if he can’t play. Rookie Bilal Powell would be active for the first time. Patrick Turner, who made his first catch of the season on Sunday, and could see more time with Kerley was listed as probable. Turner missed practice Tuesday with a kidney issue.
