Former Jets running back Trenton Cannon was taken off the field in an ambulance Sunday afternoon after taking a scary hit during the 49ers-Seahawks game in Seattle. Cannon, now with the 49ers, was diagnosed with a concussion and ruled out for the game, the team announced.
Cannon, 27, was on special teams duty for the opening kickoff when he took a teammate’s knee to the helmet while trying to make the tackle. His neck and head then got further impacted when it hit another teammate on the way down.
