Giants defensive end Justin Tuck was a surprise addition to the injury report but will play Sunday against the Eagles.

Tuck was on the sideline riding an exercise bicycle during the portion of practice open to the media. He got his foot stepped on Thursday, rolled his ankle, and was held out as a precaution.

“They thought it was good to just hold him today,” Tom Coughlin said in a transcript provided by the team. “Hopefully it is not going to be a big deal. There is soreness but it doesn’t seem to be a lot of swelling. I think he will be fine.”

Tuck missed four games this season with groin and neck injuries, causing him on Thursday to be very critical of his performance.

Offensive tackle Will Beatty, who sat out Thursday with a back flareup, returned to practice.

Linebacker Michael Boley was listed as doubtful because of a hamstring strain sustained last week in San Francisco.

“We’ll make some adjustments because that’s where experience pays off,” defensive coordinator Perry Fewell said. “We’ll make some changes so that hopefully we can eliminate or reduce some of those errors (of last week) so they won’t occur.”

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is listed as questionable but is not expected to play.
