Drama over the national anthem and President Trump’s calls to boycott the NFL didn’t appear to have a conclusive effect on the league’s latest ratings.
NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” match-up between the Redskins and the Raiders saw an 11 percent dip in ratings compared with the same week last year, but CBS enjoyed an 11 percent ratings boost in its Sunday double-header, according to Forbes.
Fox’s afternoon game had 16 percent fewer eyeballs compared with last year.
Generally, NFL viewership is declining — the league’s 2016 ratings dropped 8 percent compared with 2015.
