Tyreek Hill on Sunday addressed reporters at Kansas City Chiefs training camp for the first time since the NFL said Hill wouldn’t be suspended over child abuse allegations, and though he declined to go into much detail about the accusations, he admitted one thing.

“I have to work on my life skills,” Hill told reporters.

The league announced on July 19 it wouldn’t be suspending Hill, 25, after an alleged domestic incident involving Hill’s 3-year-old son. The boy suffered a broken arm, but a district attorney said an investigation was dropped once officials deemed they couldn’t prove who injured the boy.

In April, an 11-minute audio clip initially obtained by KCTV revealed a conversation between Hill and his fiancee Crystal Espinal, who said their son was “terrified” of Hill.

“You need to be terrified of me too, bitch,” Hill allegedly says on the recording. “That’s why you can’t keep a f–king man.”

In the recording, Espinal accused Hill of forcing the boy to open up his arms so Hill can punch him in the chest.

“Punching my son in (the) chest, that would probably refer to me teaching my son how to box, because we do got boxing gloves at our house and my son, he’s like Iron Man,” Hill said Sunday. “So he loves Iron Man, Aquaman, he’s like, ‘Daddy, c’mon, c’mon’ all the time. That’s what it is, man. Sometimes things get thrown out of context when feelings get involved and emotions, but I ain’t gonna get into all that.”

The wide receiver said he didn’t know about the recording until it was released.

“I’m just here to man up to what I did on the audio, my bad language,” Hill said. “I’m gonna man up to that. I don’t want nobody talking to my little sister, my daughter that I have now, my mom like that. It’s very disrespectful.”

Hill, who was cheered by Chiefs fans when he first took the practice field Saturday, had a talk with team chairman Clark Hunt.

“It was a very frank conversation talking to him about his responsibility as he comes back to be a Kansas City Chief,” Hunt said, according to ESPN.
