That’s one way to get your wisdom teeth removed.

A USFL wide receiver was hit with such brute force during Sunday’s contest between the Pittsburgh Maulers and Philadelphia Stars that his tooth fell out.

Nearing the end of the third quarter, the Maulers’ Isiah Hennie caught a short pass and looked to turn up the left sideline before he was met by safety Cody Brown in a thunderous collision. The devastating hit by Brown’s helmet got Hennie directly in the chinstrap and sent him crashing down to the turf.

Shortly after making his way to the sideline, cameras captured Hennie spitting out fragments of his tooth onto the field.

“I lost one, it was just a wisdom tooth, though,” Hennie could be heard telling a teammate and staff member. “[The tooth is] coming out in pieces.”

Hennie ultimately came back into the game moments later, even catching another pass in what ultimately turned into a 17-15 loss for the Maulers.

Despite the loss, Hennie’s teammates were quick to commend the wide receiver for his toughness.

“I’ll take him out to eat after that [hit],” Maulers quarterback Tre Walker said after the game.

Let’s hope they stick to soft foods for now.
