Von Miller has been very open about recruiting his friend Odell Beckham Jr. to the Bills. But now, he’s letting Beckham do his thing.
The Bills star linebacker, who’s been vocal about his friend and former Rams teammate possibly joining him in Buffalo, explained why there is no rush for Beckham to make a decision about his next move.
“The ball is in Odell’s court,” Miller told The Post while discussing his partnership with Doritos. “Whatever Odell wants to do, he’ll be able to do it. If Odell wants to sign with the Dallas Cowboys, he can do it. It’s a way for him to do it. If Odell wants to sign with the Buffalo Bills, it’s a way for him to do it… and I don’t want to speak for him or anything like that. I just think the ball is in Odell’s court for whatever he wants to do.
“Whenever he feels comfortable health wise, whenever he feels comfortable playing football again, he’ll do it. He just got to continue to take it slow. And, you know, there’s really no time limit on this. You know, if he doesn’t make the regular season, he’ll make it in the playoffs. If he doesn’t make it in the playoffs, he’ll make it in free agency in the spring. So it’s not really a rush on it.”

The Pro Bowl wideout did not participate in any workouts, which reportedly was a concern for Dallas.
Team owner Jerry Jones, who rolled out the red carpet for Beckham in a highly publicized recruiting campaign, told 105.3 The Fan that he was “not confident” about signing the receiver following the visit.
However, Jones appeared to flip a switch on the situation, telling USA Today Sports on Thursday, “Odell’s going to join us. There’s a good chance he will, with the complete goal of getting ready for a playoff game or two, and then I’ll look to the future. But most of it being about now.”
Jones’ comments came one week after Beckham said during an appearance on Prime Video’s “TNF in The Shop” that he “[doesn’t] see the point” of returning in the regular season.

In a separate receiver move, the Cowboys signed veteran T.Y. Hilton last Monday.
As for Buffalo? Despite re-signing veteran receiver Cole Beasley last week, the AFC East-leading Bills aren’t ruling out Beckham joining the team. GM Brandon Beane said Wednesday, “We haven’t closed any doors. We had a good visit with him… We’re just kind of going to move forward with the guys we’ve got right now, though.”
The Giants, meanwhile, have yet to indicate where they stand on a potential Beckham reunion. They also have yet to make a move at the receiver position.
When it’s all said and done, Miller, who’s been friends with Beckham for eight years, wants him to happy.
“Stepping back from the recruiter of Odell Beckham, being his brother now, I want him to be happy,” Miller told The Post. “I want him to be at peace. These are some of the things that I have, and I wish that for everybody.”

The 33-year-old pass-rusher is out for the remainder of the season following surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee on Dec. 6. Miller sustained the injury in the second quarter of the Bills’ Thanksgiving Day win over the Lions.
But there are reasons Miller is upbeat despite the injury.
“I feel great,” Miller said. “I have great people around me and a great support system. I think, you know, mentally I’m in a wonderful place. I got a 16-month-old son, and I got another son that will be here in February. So I’m so excited and I don’t really have any complaints.”
As he continues his recovery, Miller is dedicated to being a positive force in the locker room and within the organization.

I’m here for six years. I got multiple shots to try and win a Super Bowl. I got multiple shots to get back, and I’m going to be the best supporter I can be for this organization.
“…They brought me in here to help young guys and really try to establish a championship mindset here with the Buffalo Bills,” added Miller, who signed a six-year, $120 million contract in the offseason after winning a Super Bowl with the Rams in February.
In his free time throughout rehab, Miller plans to spend time with Beane, whom he referred to as “the James Bond” of NFL GMs. The linebacker has been open about his desire to become a GM one day.
“I have more free time now to sit down and talk to him about what it takes to be a great GM like him, and to really ask more in depth questions,” Miller said.
Miller is also excited to be working with Doritos on their #NameThatTriangle social media contest, which is inspired by his famous triangle haircut that he debuted in September prior to a game against the Rams.
Now through Jan.15, those with a triangle-inspired haircut can submit a photo or video of their hairstyle, along with their proposed name of the haircut, using #NameThatTriangle and #Entry on Twitter or Instagram for the chance to win two tickets to Super Bowl LVII.
